The Law of Obligations is present in our daily lives and is a super important subject for those who are beginning to learn Law. Today I will bring a summary of the Law of Obligations in a quick and highly concentrated video. I will begin the explanation with the concept of the Law of Obligations. The Law of Obligations is also called Personal Law, because its fulfillment depends on the behavior of the people (who are parties to that legal relationship). According to the legal scholar Sílvio de Salvo Venosa, an obligation is a transitory legal relationship of a pecuniary nature uniting two (or more) people, one (the debtor) having to perform a service for the other (the creditor). An obligation is a legal relationship established between two or more parties. And the non-fulfillment of the obligation will result in something called default. There are the elements of obligations, which are the items necessary for their formation. The subjects are the Creditor and the Debtor. The object of this contract is an obligation to give, to do, or to refrain from doing something (and this object must be of a lawful, possible, and determined or determinable patrimonial nature). We also have a legal bond, which is usually a contract.
