The easiest way to get to Cobá is by renting a car. This would take you a little over two hours from Cancún, an hour and a half from Playa del Carmen, and about 45 minutes from Cancún. You can also take public transportation from Tulum via bus or colectivo. It's cheap but slower. How much does it cost to enter Cobá? The entrance fee to the Cobá ruins is $70 pesos. Remember that if you're Mexican, admission to the archaeological sites is free on Sundays with ID. What are Cobá's hours? The Cobá Archaeological Site is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cobá is open Monday through Friday. How much do bike rentals cost in Cobá? You can rent bikes for $50 pesos with no time limit.
