Poland's New Hornet Drone Could Strike 1,200 km Away

Poland has unveiled its first production line for the indigenous Hornet long-range strike drone, marking a major step in the country's military modernisation programme. Speaking at the launch, Deputy Defence Minister Cezary Tomczyk described the new system as a "Polish Shahed" and said the country is building a "drone armada" that will include long-range drones, jet-powered UAVs and cruise missiles capable of striking targets over 1,000 kilometres away. Developed by industrial group Boryszew in partnership with the Air Force Institute of Technology, the Hornet can reportedly fly at speeds above 200 km/h with a range of 400–1,200 kilometres depending on its configuration.
