In this video, we will address conformational aspects relevant to the molecular recognition process of a ligand by its target macromolecule. Furthermore, we will work through examples that illustrate how conformational freedom can influence the affinity and selectivity of the ligand and, therefore, how the conformational restriction strategy can be used to improve these parameters.
