Home Assistant 2026.6: Small Changes, Big Relief

Home Assistant 2026.6 is not a flashy release — and honestly, that’s exactly why I like it. This release focuses on fixing the annoying friction that shows up when you actually build and maintain a real Home Assistant setup: dashboards, automations, tile cards, YAML editing, Energy dashboards, and navigation. In this video, I’m covering the top 5 changes I can actually show and that I think most users will actually feel: New dashboard card adding flow with By entity Automation target counts and Notes Better weather and media tile cards YAML linting inside UI editors Energy dashboard improvements and quicker navigation I’ll also briefly mention infrared receiver events and Z-Wave lock credential management, but since I can’t properly demo them in my setup, they stay as mentions — not fake chapters.
