Game Replay To Analyze #1 January 25th

Things I learned from this game / from looking at the footage Watch the footwork on the pivots Focus on where I put my hands when I'm holding the stick without the puck Practice skating with head up, puck in peripheral In this game I tried to force too many passes. Should have just carried or shot Power slides in game Get lower in turns Maybe an unnecessary level of pivots as method of facing the play Practice stick handling in tight / around my body Dont be afraid to skate the puck out rather than make a pass into the middle Go up higher on d, pivot faster with less dip Dont just toss it / dump in general direction. Slow down a bit When I get a rush chance, dont peel away immediately after the shot. Go to the net / stop up Look around a bit more Must use backhand more / not be insistent on playing everything to the forehand After taking a pass, dont blindly do a million stick handles. Try to find a pass / make a play Generally, move the ball faster, tendency to carry it into danger / hold too long when theres an obvious pass Slow things down in general Dont get lazy with my feet Can probably be a bit wider and more on my heels in my turns Cut stick down to make in tight handling easier Dont over stick handle before breakout pass Bring my right arm lower towards my hip Glide longer on each single leg. Angle stick in anticipation of recieving a pass Lean into turns more and trust edges Practice passing while moving up the court
