Видал Сассун - как изменить свою жизнь и мир женских стрижек | Vidal Sassoon wash and go | ЯБородач

In his new video, Georgy Alfredovich will tell... or rather, share the story of one hairdresser who changed the world of hairdressing, just as Steve Jobs changed the world of the digital industry. This hairdresser's importance to the philosophy of hairstyling can be compared to Coco Chanel's contributions to women's clothing. His name is as recognizable in the fashion world as Muhammad Ali was in boxing. He created new standards and developed a different philosophy for women's haircuts. His celebrated career in the fashion world began in the 1950s, but our country only learned about him in the early 1990s, thanks to his iconic slogan, "Wash and Go." Remember the Vidal Sassoon "Wash and Go" shampoo commercial? We're going to show you this advertising masterpiece right now. This green shampoo bottle was one of the symbols of freedom in our country during the Perestroika era. Today, you can still buy this shampoo bottle, but it no longer bears the name of the great master. And there's a whole other story behind this change. Well, enough of the poetry and riddles. Today I want to tell you about a man who, with his desire, tenacity, self-discipline, and, most importantly, scissors, revolutionized the hairdressing industry. I want to tell you about a master named Vidal Sassoon. The most famous hairdresser of the 20th century, Vidal Sassoon, was born in London in 1928. It was a turbulent time. The Nazi Party was rising to power in Germany, and World War II was looming. And at this time, young Vidal, at the age of 14, began working with scissors for the first time. But not as a hairdresser. Yes... he cut gloves in a sewing workshop. And after work, he cycled through devastated London, delivering war correspondence. However, his mother, being a practical woman, decided that her fourteen-year-old son should learn a sought-after skill and arranged for him to apprentice with the "professor" of hairdressing, Adolf Cohen, who ran a popular beauty salon in London. Vidal's apprenticeship turned out to be no easy task. Just imagine, the war was in full swing, and the students, no matter what, were expected to show up for class every day with clean nails, ironed trousers, and polished shoes. In his memoirs, the hairdresser recalled that, as a recognized master, he asked his mother how she knew he would find his calling in hairdressing. Her answer was this: She simply nodded and said, "Some things only a mother knows." What can I say? The young master's life was full of events, too many to recount. He fought in the Israeli army, tried to study architecture, but by the early 1950s, he had returned to London. He worked in various hairdressing salons, taking the most valuable things from each master. But the time when Vidal worked in Raymond Besson's salon deserves special mention. This name may ring a bell, but in the 1950s, Raymond was Britain's first celebrity hairdresser. He was a television presenter, had an active social life, and launched his own cosmetics line—as they would say today, he was a celebrity and a media personality. Sassoon later spoke highly of his mentor in various interviews and in his book: "He significantly boosted my self-confidence and encouraged my ideas for completely new haircuts. Without him, I would never have achieved what I did." Raymond was the evangelist for short haircuts, believing that long hair aged women. In his autobiography, Vidal writes, "I had to change hairdressing, but I couldn't do it while working for someone else. I've always loved geometry, so I began to develop my own method—how to cut according to the laws of geometry. I studied foreign architecture, saw other forms, other designs. But I could only put my ideas into practice in my own salon." So in 1954, Vidal opened a small salon on the third floor of a building on London's most fashionable street, Bond Street. #VidalSassoon #BORODACH #Hairdresser Come to our BORODACH ACADEMY and become a true barber. 💥Download the app from the App Store - https://apps.apple.com/ru/app/%D0%B1%... 💥Download the app from Google Play - https://play.google.com/store/apps/de... 🔥Buy cosmetics in our men's cosmetics store - https://www.borodach.pro 🔥Visit the BORODACH barbershop - https://borodach.com 🔥Open your own Borodach barbershop - https://borodach.biz 🔥VK: https://vk.com/salonborodach
