Hello Travelers! After visiting the Dead Sea, our next adventure takes us to Petra Jordan, a truly amazing historic rock city. Built by the Nabataeans in the 6th century BC, Petra Jordan holds a myriad of mysteries and ancient architectural beauty hidden behind majestic cliffs. The journey from Aqaba to Petra Jordan provides an unforgettable experience with a challenging mountain route but spoils the eyes with extraordinary natural scenery. Upon arrival at the gate of Petra Jordan, the enthusiasm to explore this legendary rock city is even more burning. Entering the Petra Jordan area, we are greeted by Bab El Siq, the gateway to the dramatic Siq with towering cliffs. Walking along the narrow and winding Siq corridor, we are amazed by the natural colors of the stone walls and the remains of ancient water channels left by the Nabataeans in Petra Jordan. At the end of the stunning Siq corridor, there is Al-Khazneh or Treasury, Petra Jordan's iconic masterpiece that amazes the world with its magnificent facade carved from reddish sandstone cliffs. As one of the wonders of the world and a UNESCO heritage site, the Treasury is a symbol of the beauty and craftsmanship of the Nabataeans who built Petra Jordan. Although our time was limited, seeing the splendor of Al-Khazneh was already an extraordinary experience in Petra Jordan. The beauty of the stone-carved architecture scattered throughout Petra Jordan is truly stunning and leaves a deep impression. Before ending our short adventure in Petra Jordan, we had time to look around the souvenir shops around the Treasury that sell various Jordanian souvenirs. By bringing home souvenirs from Petra Jordan, this adventure felt even more memorable.
