I get to the bottom of wither magnetic primer works. This product by Rust-Oleum can be a game changer if it can deliver a paintable product that can turn a wood surface into a magnetic message board. While it does not create the strongest surface for a magnet, it does make a decent surface. Be sure to do a minimum of 3 coats or the primer and a maximum of two top coats.
