Heat Pump Notification of AUXILIARY HEAT

A client recently booked an appointment with us for this reason: "I received an alert for my thermostat stating that my heat pump is not working and that I am running on auxiliary heat." Today I ask Ramon (HVAC Technician for 41 years), what it means when you receive a notification on your thermostat that you are running auxiliary heat. You will receive this notification when there is a problem with your heat pump, but since you are still getting heat (from your auxiliary source), you may not realize your heat pump has a malfunction. _______________________________________________________________ Find Us: Instagram:   / airofauthority   Website: https://www.onehourairkc.com/ Our Recommendations: Drain pan treatment: https://amzn.to/3vDRnUD CO Detector: https://amzn.to/3vvxjE7 Outdoor cover for your air conditioner: https://amzn.to/3vGo2cd Handy furnace filter cover: https://amzn.to/3U3eqBC EQUIPMENT I USE TO MAKE MY VIDEOS: Go Pro Hero8 Black: https://amzn.to/348HkoO Lav Mic: https://amzn.to/2S46Nu7 Lighting: https://amzn.to/2CE1yfW USB Microphone for computer: https://amzn.to/304jw3u (As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.)
