IEA Bioenergy webinar: Treating & valorizing the aqueous phase from hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL)

Hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) is becoming more and more popular as a process to efficiently valorize bio-based feedstocks, even those with a high moisture content. Besides biocrude, which represents the energy-dense product to be utilized in fuel production, relevant amounts of aqueous phase are produced, which need to be properly treated and valorized.
