Over optimistic noob's next adventure | Impi Hard Enduro 2026

IMPI Hard Enduro 2026 is here, and I’ve entered Bronze. I’m still pretty new to dirt bikes and hard enduro, so this might be a terrible idea… but that’s kind of the point. In this video I talk through why I decided to enter IMPI, what the event is, why I chose Bronze, how much training I’ve actually done, and what I’m expecting from the week. IMPI is one of South Africa’s biggest hard enduro events, with different classes from Iron to Gold. I’m going into Bronze as a relatively new, mediocre rider with not a huge amount of proper hard enduro experience, so this should give a good idea of what happens when someone like me takes on an event like this. I’ll be riding my 2018 KTM 300 XC-W and documenting the build-up, the bike prep, the navigation, the event itself, and everything I learn along the way. If you’ve done IMPI before, let me know your advice for a first-timer in the comments. And if you haven’t done it before but you’re curious about what it’s like, drop your questions and I’ll try answer them during or after the event. Let’s see what happens. The Impi Hard Enduro : https://theimpi.co.za About me : Instagram : instagram.com/dylanhaskin Email me : [email protected] I'm a 39 year old South African dad of 1, who loves bikes. I've always ridden bikes but never gone down the 'dirt bike' path. Most of my bikes before have been small "delivery style' bikes when we lived abroad, or ADV bikes here in SA. This channel documents my journey learning enduro riding from the ground up. I am not a professional rider. I am a normal guy learning the sport, entering events, working on my own motorcycle, and sharing my experience along the way. I also share the process of entering events, preparing bikes, and figuring things out as I go. If you’ve ever wanted to get into dirt bikes, feel like you might be starting late, or just enjoy thoughtful motorcycle content that goes beyond helmet camera footage, this channel is for you.
