3c. Les QRS fragmentés. Valeur diagnostique et pronostique. P Taboulet

This lecture discusses the clinical significance of QRS complexes that exhibit abnormalities called "fragmentations." Fragmented QRS complexes reflect a focal conduction disorder that reveals the presence of scars in the myocardium, whether narrow QRS complexes with ventricular hypertrophy or sequelae of necrosis, or wide QRS complexes with bundle branch block, extrasystoles, or electro-driven QRS! These scars can reveal the existence of an underlying pathology and carry a poor prognosis, which no other ECG criterion can sometimes reveal.
