The band has always felt a special connection with New York (hence they released a song with that title on their most recent album at the time), making these three nights at the Garden very special for everyone involved. Just like at the show in Baltimore a few days prior (which was actually the last concert before this one as the band had taken a few days off), a sign held by an audience member (saying "Chicks can play guitar too!") leads to an impromptu performance of Bob Dylan's 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door' with the audience member in question on guitar. Later, during 'One', the video screens displayed the names of the victims of 9/11, further connecting the band to the audience. Bono was in a good mood throughout the show, explaining that the IRA had finally layed down their arms. On a different note, this concert features the last performance of 'Staring at the Sun' until October 2011. On top of that and a superb performance by the entirety of the band, you get one of the best audiences in the scene, making this an essential listen for U2 fans. 00:00:00 - 01.
