You open this baton by swinging the handle into free space, or you can extend the telescopic tubes by pulling the tip. The locking mechanism firmly secures the tubes in the open state. The best thing about this baton is the closing. Pressing the button at the end of the handle and slightly pressing the tip of the baton releases the locking mechanism. You can then easily slide the tubes back into the handle. It doesn't matter how hard you swing the baton to open it - you can close it comfortably and effortlessly every time. You don't even have to look for a hard and solid surface, which is necessary when closing a Friction Lock telescopic baton. The only button at the end of the handle is used to close the baton. You definitely should not close it by hitting it on the mat, on the contrary, it risks being damaged. During drop tests, the baton fell from 2 m onto concrete (German regulations require wood, which is a softer surface) and then closed without any problems. We opened and closed the baton 6,000 times and the locking mechanism still worked. The quality of the locking mechanism was also tested by repeatedly dropping the baton into the mud. Rotating holster supplied with the baton In this case, the baton is supplied with a rotating holster of the BHT-55 type. This plastic holster allows the telescopic tubes to be automatically extended while the baton is being pulled out. The tip of the baton is held in the holster and the baton starts to extend automatically. This way, you can remove the already extended baton from the holster and save time in a critical situation. If this method of opening the baton does not suit you, you can remove the locking base from the holster. After unscrewing the 2 screws on the back of the case, you can remove the base. In this case, you can remove the inserted baton from the case. Thanks to the UBC-05-A belt clip, the case can be rotated 360 degrees relative to the belt without using tools (it has 16 locked positions).
