In cases of chronic, long-term, or very severe pain, you should seek medical help. Elbow pain can be very uncomfortable, especially during training. Sometimes it can interfere with training; Sometimes they force you to stop training. Interestingly, the cause of elbow pain doesn't come from the elbow itself, but from the wrist. Depending on the strain or overload of the flexors and extensors, inflammation can occur in the tendons attached to the elbow joint. Everyday life is certainly the first situation to examine. If you consistently position your wrists incorrectly in everyday situations (office job, heavy lifting), the problem may have its origins there. In strength training, the situation is easier to understand. In push and pull exercises, incorrect wrist positioning can promote this overload, which can ultimately culminate in elbow pain.
