We had a fun matchplay of a few holes, chatting casually and enjoying the story-filled atmosphere of Pondok Cabe. This course, built in the early 90s by Thomson & Wolveridge, has 18 par-72 holes with exciting characteristics: a flat front nine, and an undulating back nine filled with trees. In recent years, Pondok Cabe Golf has been continuously improving—the grass is fresher, the greens smoother, the bunkers well-maintained, and the clubhouse has a modern look. What makes it even more iconic: it's located right next to Pondok Cabe Airstrip. So while playing, we can watch planes take off. It's not just about golf; this place is also steeped in history—from former farmland to a Japanese air base during World War II, and now one of the most distinctive golf courses in southern Jakarta.
