Report by Serambi Indonesia Journalist Rianza Alfandi | Banda Aceh SERAMBINEWS.COM, BANDA ACEH – The Aceh People's Alliance set up a protest post in front of the Aceh Governor's Office as a form of protest against Gubernatorial Regulation Number 2 of 2026 concerning the Aceh Health Insurance (JKA), which has yet to be revoked. This statement was made by a representative of the Aceh People's Alliance in front of the Aceh Governor's Office early Tuesday (May 12, 2025). They believe the policies in the JKA Gubernatorial Regulation are detrimental to the people of Aceh and are urging the Aceh Government to immediately revoke the regulation. The alliance representative stated that the rejection of Gubernatorial Regulation Number 2 of 2026 comes from various segments of society because it is seen as reducing people's rights to health services. He also invited all student elements and student executive bodies in Aceh to join in supporting the demand for the revocation of the gubernatorial regulation. The Aceh People's Alliance warned the Aceh Government to immediately open a dialogue with the protesters. They threatened to hold a follow-up demonstration with a larger crowd on Wednesday (May 13, 2026) if their demands were not met. Furthermore, the protesters expressed their readiness to provide accommodation for students from various regions in Aceh who wished to join the follow-up demonstration in Banda Aceh, including accommodation, and logistics. As a form of pressure, the Aceh People's Alliance established a struggle post near the Aceh Governor's Office and planned to seal the government office until their demands were met.
