I headed towards the Transapuseana road with no real plan — just the desire to drive, relax and spend a quiet night in the mountains. Along the way I found a beautiful plateau overlooking Lake Drăgan and the Vlădeasa Mountains, still covered with patches of snow. I decided to stay there for the night. I gathered firewood, cooked some food, started the diesel heater inside the Duster and enjoyed one of those simple evenings that make every trip worth it. The next morning: coffee, breakfast and complete silence.
