Medieval Madness (Williams 1997) 1.0 - VPW - Visual Pinball X / VPX - Defeated the King of Payne!
Medieval Madness is a table that I know well from Pinball FX days and I've spent countless hours on it. In VPX there has never been a version that was engaging enough to really grab my attention. Well... that is not the case anymore. VPW pulled out all the stops, and then more, to make this the best playing and looking digital version of this table ever. Once you get hold of such a good playing version, it is not hard to understand why this is one of the top-rated tables of all time. It is such an engaging experience and gives you a proper adrenaline rush. I love all the strategic decisions you need to make and how you constantly have to balance risks and rewards; time Multiball Madness so that you play trolls with it, or just go for it; hit the risky troll targets, before you go for Royal Madness, so that you can get a troll bombs, or just go for it and hope you get another chance; go for the risky castle gate, so that you can shoot the scoop for Merlin's Magic with the hope of getting 3 troll bombs, or just wait for multiball before going for the gate. I just love it. In this game, I just about manage to defeat the King of Payne. I had a decent Castle Multiball (with an extra ball) and then straight there after a decent full Multiball Madness that went a long way in setting up the game for me. I managed to get a lot of hits in on the castle and got the trolls out of the way. Before Royal Madness, I took a risk on the troll targets to get a troll bomb and lost a ball or two while doing it. Watching through the video again, I actually didn't need to take the risk, because I did get a troll bomb during the Multiball Madness from a troll combo. I then played a second Multiball Madness without trolls, with the hope that it was good enough to take down the Kings castle... and it was. I had a pretty decent Battle for the Kingdom, but thought it was over when I ran out of time for one of the shots on the castle. Luckily, the grace period was just enough for me to continue to defeat the King of Payne. You can clearly see why you so desperately need at least one troll bomb to defeat the King of Payne... I even had more but didn't realise ;-). https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/269... https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/121... If you enjoy the video, then please hit those subscribe and like buttons! My basic aim with any tips and strategy gameplay video I post is to help the viewer improve his skill in the game and on the specific table. I do this by identifying the safest and most efficient strategy to follow to play through the modes and to reach and beat the wizard mode. This is admittedly not always the most efficient way to achieve a high score, but once you understand the table, including which shots and modes are worth it or not, it puts you in the position where you can concentrate on what you have identified as the best approach to reaching a high score. #PinStratsDan #VPX #Pinball Email - pinstratsdan@gmail(dot)com Discord - / discord Twitter - / pinstratsdan Facebook - / pinstratsdan Xbox One user ID - PinStratsDan
