Our Royal Visitors - Dover & London (1924)

London and Dover, Kent. Title: "OUR ROYAL VISITORS. Britain welcomes King Ferdinand of Roumania [sic] and his beautiful Queen Marie". M/S of the King and Queen of Romania (aka Rumania) coming down the gang plank of a ship, accompanied by high ranking officers and dignitaries. M/S of the King walking past a line of Naval officers. M/S of a solider in a busby introducing the King and Queen to important people on a station platform, a woman presents some flowers to the Queen, the King then makes a speech before climbing aboard a train (there is a lot of hand shaking and hand kissing before this actually happens!). M/S of King Ferdinand and King George V walking along a line of soldiers in busbies. L/S of a procession of Royal carriages passing down a crowd lined street, flags and bunting hang overhead. High angled shot of the procession coming down the street, the carriages and accompanied by soldiers on horseback. L/S of the procession coming down the Mall under Admiralty Arch. M/S of the procession passing a band on horseback. M/S of the procession coming through some ornate gates. High angled shot of the Romanian King and Queen laying a wreath at the Cenotaph, a large crowd watches. M/S of the King and Queen standing in front of a car and several officials, the King salutes. C/U of the King talking to several officers. Intertitle: "In the City". Various C/Us of the King and Queen climbing into a carriage. The carriage drives off. After this is another version of the story almost identical to the first. The only difference is that it includes the intertitle - "At the Cenotaph" .
