The mayor of the Samnite capital and former Minister of the Republic will celebrate his "golden anniversary" with the institutions, exactly half a century after his first election to the Chamber of Deputies on July 5, 1976, as a member of the Christian Democrats. Organization and Cost Concerns The evening, promoted by the centrist leader's political movement, Noi di Centro, will be held primarily by invitation. In recent days, the initiative has been at the center of local debate over the use of the prestigious Samnite archaeological site. Sources close to the organizers have clarified that there will be no exemption and that the regular usage fee established by the Ministry of Culture will be paid in full. Expected Guests The proceedings will be introduced by Corriere della Sera columnist Marco De Marco, while Rai journalist Gigi Marzullo will host the event. The lineup of announced guests reflects the historic national relations of the mayor of Benevento. Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi and Senator Pier are expected to attend.
