What I Do With My Backpacking Gear AFTER a Trip!

What you do as soon as you're home from a backpacking trip plays a big role in ensuring your gear lasts a long time! In this video I'll show you how I unpack and organize my gear as soon as I'm home, as well as give you some simple tips to make sure your backpacking gear is properly cared for. Okay look I'll be honest - I don't really unpack my bag right away when I'm home from a backpacking trip, and I don't think anybody does. The first thing I do when I get home is crack open a beer, eat some food and relax on my couch watching TV. I have been known to leave my fully packed bag by the door for days after a trip before I get around to fully unpacking and organizing my gear. But there are definitely some things you MUST do at least shortly after you are home from a backpacking trip or your gear can be prone to damage and decay. Make sure your backpacking gear lasts a long time!!
