3 Stage Lift - Marble Machine No.1

  / ross.mcsweeney   I will add some photos of things I am working on at the moment and can give you quick progress updates. My first marble machine made back in early 2017. I have always been interested in mechanisms. Powered from 1 AA battery and driven by a high torque geared motor. The balls are picked up by a wheel lift, then again from a cam linkage, then lastly by cam driven stairs where it finally makes its way down to the bottom again. The ball are 7.5mm stainless. The wire is 1.0mm brass. It Measures Length x 35 cm Width X 25 cm Height x 25 cm The gears were cut on my scroll saw using Matthias Wandel's amazing gear template software. Thanks to Denha for the inspiration for the 3 ball ball release mechanism!
