RME Fireface UCX II: iPad control with RME's Advanced USB Audio Interface

In this video we take a look at pairing the Fireface UCX II - RME's brand new Advanced USB Audio Interface - with the TotalMix for iPad app. The Fireface UCX II is RME's most powerful and portable interface. Featuring full standalone operation, class compliant mode and DURec (Direct-to-USB) recording, the UCX II is a fantastic option for recording live shows, rehearsals and also for creating field recordings. Class Compliant mode makes it possible to pair the UCX II with an Apple iPad, creating an incredibly portable recording solution. Whilst there are a variety of DAWs available for the iPad, in this video we've chosen to look at harnessing the power of RME's TotalMix app, for direct recording straight to a USB storage (connected to the UCX II's DURec connection).
