2025 Drought Impacts to Forests Gleaned through the Acadian Phenocam Network Lynsay Spafford, PhD, Postdoctoral Researcher Forestry and Environmental Management, UNB The 2026 Eastern Woodland Conference was held on Saturday, April 18th at Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. The Woodland Conferences are organized annually by a hardworking committee of representatives from several Nova Scotia groups interested in forestry. This year, our provincial committee included partners from the Nova Scotia Department of Resources, Nova Scotia Woodlot Owners and Operators Association (Provincial Coordinator), Association for Sustainable Forestry, Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute, Nova Scotia Community College, Forest Nova Scotia, Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq, and several private woodlot owners. Additional Eastern regional partners included the Nova Scotia Landowners & Forest Fibre Producers Association and the Cape Breton Privateland Partnership.
