Seeing is Believing - Queen's Platinum Jubilee

A short promo for a new standalone 55-minute film, “Seen to be Believed”, a new film for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, drawing on the last 70 years of the Queen’s visits and royal celebrations across Yorkshire and the North East. Taking an affectionate look at how the people of the North East and Yorkshire have celebrated coronations, jubilees and royal visits through the decades, it draws inspiration from a famous remark by The Queen: "I have to be seen to be believed." Featuring plenty of captivating archive from North Tyneside’s coast, this beautifully made documentary will be especially fascinating for local history lovers. All footage in the film was made solely by Yorkshire and North East Filmmakers, now curated into a new 55-minute film by the Yorkshire and North East Film Archive. ‘Seen to be Believed’ is presented by The Exchange Theatre in partnership with Remembering the Past at their Jubilee celebrations on 2 June.
