Bayonetta - Lost Chapter, Angel Slayer - Jeanne (Pure Platinum)

By far the easiest of the three characters in the game to do this with. Jeanne does not get Witch Time on dodges, the slowdown when dodging, the magic orb per dodge, and cannot trigger Evil Harvest Rosary on normal dodges (only Moth Within). However, in exchange for this, she deals bonus damage on Wicked Weaves, and unlike Zero, she can use Pulley's Butterfly to full effect with no difficulties. This means that she can absolutely rip apart some of the hardest fights in this chapter with the use of Shuraba/Angel Slayer's PKP/Tetsuzanko Wicked Weave. Gaze of Despair is used liberally to keep magic up, both for the use of Pulley's Butterfly as well as to use it as fuel for Tetsuzanko, Heel Stomp, and Torture Attacks. Combo points are no issue thanks to Kilgore/Slade's massive combo points per rocket as well as Gaze of Despair's boosts. Don't drop combos during some of the more lucrative fights, and Platinum combo is pretty easy. As usual, you have tons of time to do this chapter, so Platinum time is extremely easy to get. Even on runs where I've dawdled significantly I've gotten Platinum times so I'm not actually sure what a Gold/Silver/Bronze/Stone time is. The hardest fights in this chapter, including the 3 x Jeanne battle at the end, become significantly easier because Jeanne's sheer damage output can clobber them well before they get out of hand and well before your magic starts to get low from Pulley's Butterfly. I'm not using rapid fire in this run so I dodge away from any of Jeanne's QTE prompts because it's very difficult to win them reliably in Hard or NSIC difficulty. Winning them isn't crucial anyways as it's just a bit of free damage if you do, and you can certainly beat Jeanne/Bayonetta Clone and get the combo points to get a Pure Platinum in any of her fights without needing to engage in the button mash QTEs. Played on the PC version. I really appreciate being able to remap lockon to Left Trigger in Steam's Big Picture mode even if the remapping interface sucks (with Right Bumper used to weapon swap). I was streaming to Twitch at the time I was recording this, playing windowed so I could keep a browser open to pay attention to screen chat. There's a black screen flash before the Bayonetta Clone fight; that's from me going to fullscreen mode so I can ignore the chat and focus entirely on the fight.
