The moment when Mr. White becomes Heisenberg
I don’t believe anyone has previously stated this. When Walt is waiting on the line with paint cans, this is where the facade of living a normal life dies. He loves being Heisenberg. Now it has enveloped him. Nothing signified that better than the cash register beeping continuously like a heart beat. The look on Walt’s face was a realization of this. Did you catch that? That heart beat/ cash register was Heisenberg coming back to life with a stable pulse. Literally never noticed this detail until now it’s such a great effect, I know that’s what they were going for. There were moments previously, where Walter used his alter ego as a means to an end. Like when he blew up Tuco’s office for the money. Though this wasn’t for a necessity or a specific task. Instead, when he saw a glimpse of the drug world again after trying to avoid it. He stared right back at it and asserted his dominance purely for power and control. This transformation signifies him not only using the persona, but fully internalizing it. The satisfaction he gets from scaring those two off, breathes life into him. Making Heisenberg and Walter one and the same. #breakingbad All rights go to AMC
