Tourist Interview Highlights – Waema Cultural Event, Alotau, Milne Bay Province 🇵🇬 During the daytime event on 12th June 2026, we had the opportunity to conduct a short interview with tour guide Jena Kaioni and several visiting tourists to learn about their experiences in Papua New Guinea, especially in Milne Bay Province. We were excited to hear their thoughts and feelings about visiting our beautiful country. The tourists shared that they were amazed by the rich cultural diversity of Papua New Guinea and were impressed by the unique traditions that are still proudly practiced today. They expressed great excitement at witnessing the colorful traditional attire, vibrant cultural performances, and the warm hospitality shown by the local people. Many of them said they felt truly welcomed during their visit to Waema, Alotau, and enjoyed seeing the spectacular traditional dances performed by the various cultural groups. The visitors described the experience as memorable and inspiring, highlighting the beauty of Milne Bay's culture, people, and natural surroundings. They thanked the communities and performers for making their visit special and for sharing Papua New Guinea's rich cultural heritage with them.
