Hi Everyone Welcome back to my channel , Today's vlog talk 👇 The Truth About Living With Peripheral Neuropathy My Experience I was diagnosed around 2023/24 with peripheral neuropathy pain one side of my body, also Genitofemoral neuralgia ( of the groin & private area. I was fobbed off by my doctor & stereotyped for my tattoos, he blamed my pain on my tattoos & told me i was making it up. I was in a&e 3 times. It took 2 years to get a diagnosis. There are many treatments like Radiofrequency, but being autistic i couldn't handle it & I only lasted 5 mins and had a meltdown. My other option was pain killers designed for nerve damage of gabapentin. What is peripheral neuropathy👇 Peripheral neuropathy is a medical condition in which the peripheral nerves outside the brain and spinal cord are damaged, leading to problems with communication between the nervous system and the rest of the body 1.Peripheral nerves control sensation (touch, pain, temperature), motor function (muscle movement), and autonomic functions (like blood pressure and digestion). Damage to these nerves disrupts these functions, leading to symptoms Symptoms Sensory issues: Numbness, tingling (“pins and needles”), burning or sharp pain, especially in hands and feet. Motor issues: Muscle weakness, cramps, twitching, or loss of coordination. How It Affects Daily Life 1. Walking & Balance 2. Mental health 3. Social life 4. Sleep quality Medications or treatments 1. Lifestyle changes 2. Radiofrequency treatment 3. Pain killers ( gabapentin etc) 4. Regular exercise & nutrition changes I am not a doctor or qualified in this field its my own experience and im sharing what its like to have a chronic illness , like neuropathy pain.
