On our way to the Mauritanian border we suffered a fairly intense police check at the entrance to Laayoune. We stop at the old Villa Cisneros, today called Dakhla, and see why it is becoming a "windsurfer" paradise. On its way out we crossed the Tropic of Cancer. I am arriving south of Western Sahara and we encounter a tremendous sand storm 150 km away. from Bir Gandouz, our end of the stage at the famous biker hotel "Barbas". We are already 75 km away. of Morocco's border with Mauritania.
