Built to Build - Chassis Table

Building a heavy-duty, mobile DIY chassis welding table in a tight two-car garage! 🛠️ When I scored a killer deal on some massive 1/4-inch thick box section steel, I knew I had my foundation for Project Jo-Jo. But cheap steel comes with a catch: it was too short, incredibly heavy, and warped like crazy under the heat of the welder. From building custom clamping jigs to using heat management tricks to pull the warp right back out, this build was a constant battle of fabricator vs. physics. Oh, and then the entire table almost took my shins out during a sketchy floor-jack flip incident... 😳 But we survived! By engineering a custom "stepped leg design," I managed to get the best of both worlds for a small shop space: heavy-duty casters for effortless mobility, and massive leveling feet to lock it down rock-solid. True level achieved. Next up, Project Jo-Jo officially takes over the shop and the real chassis fabrication begins.
