Music Meeting CONCERTS - Cantorias

Just what is it about those voices that make Brazilian music as light as a feather? It’s as though it hardly touches the ground, so different to the much more earthy character of the music from the rest of Latin America. According to bass guitarist Breno Virícimo, the initiator of Cantorias, the secret partly lies in the softly rolling sounds of Brazilian Portuguese and in the smooth rhythms that naturally flow from it. Moreover, Cantorias boasts four voices that sing in stunning close harmony, inspired by the vocal groups of old, among them Cuarteto and Cy.
