San Martín de los Andes beyond winter: The La Islita Circuit 🏔️☀️

Who says Patagonia only structuralizes its magic in the winter? When the snow melts, San Martín de los Andes reveals hidden beaches and fantastic hiking trails. 🥾🗺️ Located in the Cerro Bandurrias area, within the territory of the Curruhuinca Mapuche Community, this sector of Lanín National Park offers must-visit paths to explore during the green season: La Islita: The classic descent leading to the rocky beach right in front of the famous small island in Lake Lácar. Mirador Bandurrias: A short hike to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region, offering a frontal view of the town and the beginning of the lake. Mirador Arrayanes: Another fantastic observation point in the area that offers a spectacular panoramic view of Lake Lácar and the surrounding mountains. 💡 Useful Information: Access: You can hike there directly from downtown San Martín de los Andes or drive to the main access points. Fee: Since the access area to La Islita is located within Mapuche property, a small fee is charged by the community for the maintenance and conservation of the site.
