This song was inspired by the beautiful character and world created by one of my subscribers who writes books, which is an admirable hobby. From the moment I read about her, I could feel the storm inside her: a woman caught between angel and abomination, mercy and wrath, devotion and destruction. I wanted the sound of this track to feel like standing inside a gothic apocalypse, thunder above ruined cathedrals, ash falling like snow, and a soul powerful enough to destroy the world choosing instead to protect the one person who keeps her human. Beneath all the fire and chaos, this song is really about love. Not soft love. Terrifying love. The kind that carries grief, obsession, sacrifice, and mercy all at once.
