Cambodia’s government has passed a law that would imprison anyone who denies that the Khmer Rouge carried out genocide, in the 1970s. It's estimated the group’s brutal policies are blamed for the deaths of over one and a half million people. But critics say the measure is unnecessary and could be weaponized to suppress dissent.
