Book a 1:1 call with me: How to ‘thrive’ in Australia - https://nas.io/work-smart-with-anshul... In this video, I talk about how our parents can get permanent residency and stay with us in Australia. I talk about 4-5 different visa subclasses through which our parents can move here and actually talk about the cost, process, and requirements for all these visa subclasses. I talk about these visa subclasses: A/ Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 143) Permanent visa with faster processing (3–6 years). High application fee (around AUD 50,000+ per parent). You must be settled in Australia and meet the Balance of Family Test: At least half of your parents’ children live in Australia as PRs or citizens, or more children live in Australia than in any other country. B/ Non-Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 103) Much cheaper, but very long processing times (can be 30+ years). Same Balance of Family Test applies. Usually not recommended due to the wait time. C/ Sponsored Parent (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 870) Allows parents to stay for 3 or 5 years (renewable up to 10 years total). You (the child) must be an approved sponsor. Doesn't lead to PR, but faster processing. Fee: Around AUD 5,000 (3 years) or AUD 10,000 (5 years). D/ Visitor Visa (Subclass 600 – Sponsored Family Stream) For short stays (up to 12 months). You can sponsor them as a PR. May require a security bond (to make sure they return). Ideal for temporary visits like holidays or special occasions. Key Requirements Across All Visa Subclasses Health & character checks. No outstanding debts to the Australian Government. Proof of relationship (birth certificate, etc.). May need to show financial capacity (especially for temporary visas). Current subscriber count: 1692 WHO AM I? My name is Anshul Sethi, and I moved to Australia from Delhi in 2022 as an international student for my bachelor's degree. Like you, I started with no connections, family, or financial support while facing the pressure of paying my own university fees in Australia. Through determination and consistency, I balanced studies, part-time work, connection-building, partying, and playing professional cricket - yes, I am a professional cricketer! Now, at 22, working for a South Australian Government organisation, I want to share my experience and the strategies that helped me secure multiple roles without applying or interviewing. If you're considering studying and working abroad, and want a step-by-step guide to thrive in Australia - you're in the right place. Book a 1:1 call with me: https://nas.io/work-smart-with-anshul...
