Air Compressor Hard Wiring | How To Install An Anderson Plug

In this video I am going to hard wire my Thumper air compressor to my Land Cruiser 80 series 4x4's electrical system. Also in this video I will show you how to solder connect an Anderson plug. Every off road 4x4 tourer should have an air compressor as part of their essential gear. Mine is a portable Thumper air compressor. It is a great piece of kit to have. Deflating tyres depending on the surface your 4x4 will be travelling on is essential. Equally essential is to inflate the tyres once the low pressures are no longer required. To do this you need a good air compressor. Portable air compressors are convenient. But in my case to make it even more convenient I decided to hard wire it. To do this I will be installing an Anderson plug which then will plug into the electrical system of my 80 series. The compressor unit will be installed next to the rear window so the next time I need to use the compressor all I have to do is open the window, pull out the air hose and switch on the compressor.
