The Shvesters are a Yiddish vocal duo hailing from Detroit, and now living in Israel. Their popular social media page featuring sophisticated yet simple contemporary takes on classic Yiddish and Jewish music has excited lifelong lovers of the music while simultaneously catalyzing new love from the next generations. They have gained a reputation for their perfectly synchronized voices (not to mention their signature matching outfits), and have captivated sold out audiences with live performances around the world from Tel Aviv to Paris, New York to LA. The Weitzman Museum proudly presented the group’s first performance in Philadelphia for a sold out audience during the Spring of 2025. Limited recordings from the full concert were used to produce this episode of Secret Chord Concerts.
