Mielle Babassu & Mint Deep Conditioner - Is it Really a Protein Replenisher?

Reviewing Mielle Babassu & Mint Deep Conditioner to determine if it is really a protein replenisher. Answer. No. Based on the "active" ingredients listed on the back (the first 7 ingredients), it's a conditioner with no significant ingredients to provide protein to the hair strands. MIELLE Babassu & Mint Deep Conditioner - active ingredients 1. Water 2. Behentrimonium Methosulfate 3. Cetearyl Alcohol 4. Cetyl Esters 5. Babassu Seed Oil 6. Apple Fruit Extract 7. Glycerin In this video, I describe, a "marketing label", "how to read an ingredients' label, why the first 7 ingredients are so important and last why this product is not the best product to use for a protein treatment. The product claims to be a "protein replenisher" but it's not. The product does not list any proteins, but do list amino acids (building blocks of protein), outside the first 7 ingredients. Having amino acids in a product, does not make it good for providing protein to the hair strands. Amino acids are too small and are water soluble to provide any significant effect to the hair. If anything, the amino acids can act as humectants in a product. Amino acids are the monomers that make up proteins. Specifically, a protein is made up of one or more linear chains of amino acids, each of which is called a polypeptide.
