About Convocation, Transcript and Provisional Certificate from Jain University

*Some FAQ* ------------------------------- 1. What is Convocation? It is just a ceremony. University arrange academic Convocation (means a gen. meeting for academic purpose) to award the degree/diploma to the graduates from their courses 2. Is it mandatory to be present at convocation? No, but it will become a milestone for you in life 3. What is Degree Certificate (DC)? It is the final and ultimate document stating the Degree/Diploma awarded to you by the University 4. Are Degree Certificate and Convocation certificate same? In this case it is same 5. If I do not participate convocation then how can I get DC? After convocation any student can apply for the DC at any time, university may charge you the same of in increasing rate 6. What is Transcript? It is the final marks sheet which includes all semester's marks along with CGPA and Grade (if any) 7. Whether both Degree Certificate and Transcript given at Convocation? Depends on the University's policy 8. What is PDC? Provisional Degree Certificate is the temporary version of Degree Certificate. Since University take some time to award the DC, students who has some urgency may apply for the PDC (provisional degree certificate) 9. Can I use PDC forever and do to take the Degree Certificate?
