The Country Report we're producing this year, 2025, reviving images and reports from the program's early years and in the series "Railroad of Paraguay, Station by Station," needs to focus on those years, from '89 to '99, because it was a special decade. It can't be dismissed, especially because it shows us a country with cities and departments that are so poor. This phenomenon is happening to us as we enter Caazapá. And I've decided not to advance to the final stretch of the "Station by Station" series until I've exhausted the valuable archive that shows the social reality of the time. From this episode we aired, I'm left with the bitter taste of the lack of a usable route, with the train having disappeared. Our country is beautiful, our people are valuable. Two international wars unbalanced our greatness; the department of Caazapá is unrecognizable today. Much progress has been made. But we will also continue to pause in the past to discover our reality today.
