GETTING BACK INTO KITESURFING: Dream beach, offshore wind… big mistake? In this video, I'm taking you along for a real "Ride With Me" kitesurfing session. A paradise beach, turquoise water, sunshine, a kite in the sky… on paper, it all looks like the perfect session. Except there's one detail that changes everything: the wind is offshore. And when you get back into kitesurfing after a break, this kind of detail can quickly turn a relaxing session into a major ordeal. The initial idea was simple: ease back in, rediscover the feeling, enjoy the spot, get a few clean runs, and get my body and mind back into the swing of things. Nothing extreme. Nothing crazy. Just getting back into kitesurfing in an incredible setting. But kitesurfing, especially in offshore winds, doesn't forgive many mistakes. The wind pushes out to sea, your bearings shift, the beach recedes quickly, and you soon realize that the dream session can become much less comfortable than expected. In this video, you'll experience the session as if you were right there with me: launching from the beach, the initial sensations, riding, mistakes, moments of doubt, wind management, reading the water, a tricky return, and that very particular feeling when you realize you're not quite where you thought you were. This POV kitesurfing / Ride With Me format is here to show the reality of a session, not just the pretty pictures. Because kitesurfing isn't always about perfect jumps, clean tricks, and postcard-perfect shots. Sometimes it's also about a slightly shaky recovery, misjudging the wind, making questionable choices, and a good reminder of the importance of respecting the conditions. Offshore winds can be magnificent to watch from the beach, but in kitesurfing, it's a different story. When it blows from the land towards the sea, it can quickly take you out to sea. And if you don't have a safety boat, no margin for error, no energy, not the right skill level, or not the right understanding of the spot, the session can become very risky. This video isn't meant to be a lesson, but rather to share a real experience: getting back into kitesurfing on a dream beach, with offshore winds, which could have been a great session… but could clearly have gone wrong.
