In the summer of 1982, seven Soviet divers descend 50 meters below the surface of Lake Baikal. Three will not return. What they saw at the bottom was classified by the Soviet military for years. Three figures, each three meters tall, in silver suits and transparent spheres on their heads—without breathing apparatus. The commander gives the order: capture one of them. What happens next ends with the deaths of three divers and a series of secret documents: an order from the commander of the ground forces, a bulletin listing the lakes, and the names of General Demyanenko, Mark Shteynberg, and Vladimir Azhazhi. In the second part, we go deeper. "Quaker"—unexplained sounds recorded by Soviet submarines in the North Atlantic. Unidentified underwater objects (USOs) traveling at 200 knots. And the secret USSR programs—Network-AN, Galaxy-MD, and Pluto-7—which surfaced to the West thanks to George Knapp in 1993.
