CHARACTERISTICS OF THE 4x2 SYSTEM There are players specialized by function; There are 4 attackers and 2 setters; POSITIONING IN THE SIMPLE 4x2 SYSTEM A volleyball team in the 4x2 tactical system will have 5 players to receive the serve and 4 players to attack. The setters will always be diagonally opposite each other on the court. The setter in the front/net positions will be responsible for setting. The setter in the back row will participate in receiving the serve but will not attack. The remaining four players are outside hitters and will participate in receiving the serve and attacking. There is no libero in the 4x2 volleyball system. MOVEMENT IN THE 4x2 SYSTEM In the 4x2 volleyball system, some movements already occur to adapt the player's position on the court to their specialized function, but there is still no need for infiltration movements. Basically, when the setter who is at the net (front positions) is not in position 3 (center of the net), they will switch positions with the outside hitter who is in the center of the net at the moment the opponent serves. This happens so that the setter occupies the most suitable position on the court for setting and the outside hitter for passing and attacking.
