VSAUWB 10th Annual Culture Show: Ngày Xửa Ngày Xưa.

The Vietnamese Student Association at the University of Washington Bothell (VSAUWB) presents to you our 10th Annual Culture Show: Ngày Xửa Ngày Xưa. This year’s show springs from a fascination with the fairy tales that embody Vietnamese culture and hold special significance to the people. We aim to not only introduce the mythological legends to those who haven’t been exposed to these stories, but to also invoke nostalgia for the guests who possibly haven’t heard them in quite some time. Vietnamese myths and legends serve as records imbued with national identity and pride. They explain natural phenomena and carry moral lessons and traditions for generations to learn from, rich in themes of love, duty, and cultural history. We hope that this year’s show brings you an enjoyable evening full of joy while embracing what the tales of yesterday can offer us in the present.
