Erris parkrun. Running Europe's Most Westerly parkrun. Magic Rain, Cow Bravery & the Perfect Beach!

When choosing parkruns to visit in Ireland then Erris was pretty high up the list. A smaller, more remote parkrun that boasts the title of being the most westerly parkrun in Europe... Yes please! We absolutely loved visiting County Mayo and have fallen in love with it a bit! Especially Achill Island! That there is so much to see in relatively close proximity is super exciting! I can't recommend a visit highly enough. Erris parkrun had a really special feel. They are proud of their course (a gorgeous one lapper), and their community, and go the extra mile to make visitors feel welcome. We are ridiculously pleased that we visited or we'd have been missing out! The perfect beach was an absolute blessing and made this one of my favourite parkrun experiences to date... Despite getting completely soaked AND there being cows, that's how good it is!
