Attract Wrens By Hanging Nest Box - Birdhouse Placement Location
Where is the best site to hang your bird house? Placement of the nesting box is crucial for protection and attracting your favorite bird. The best time to put up the wren birdhouse is in the spring. We spent this early April day cleaning out the old nest and discussing the location where we want to establish a proper yearly home for our birds on the property. Siting a nesting box is a fun time for the whole family. Birds are very conscientious and choosy when picking a spot to dwell. We hung the birdhouse along the woods and set it up approximately 5 feet off the ground. Wrens are nice to have on the homestead as they eat a large quantity of insects and pests. The birdhouse hole is also critical as you want the bird to take residence and have protection from predators.
