It had been raining continuously since the previous evening. I woke up hoping the weather would improve, but by morning it was still pouring. Even then, I made one promise to myself—I was going for my evening ride, no matter what. What followed was a ride full of surprises: heavy rain, empty roads, a friend who almost joined, a massive traffic jam that changed my route, conversations with people who recognized me, and finally... a puncture that almost ended the day.
